UCT Prague Announcement for Year 2022
Department of Computer and Control Engineering, Faculty of Chemical Engineering, UCT Prague offers for Ph.D. students of UCT Prague internships in Egypt in the framework of Erasmus+ Credit Mobility Program. Internships will take place at Tanta University or Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology for a period of 2 months. The topics of internships covers chemistry (synthesis of organic semiconductors and functional materials) and electronics (energy storage devices).
In case of interest please follow these instructions:
- Contact the person in charge of the project: assoc. prof. Dušan Kopecký, Ph.D.;
- Submit CV, copy of valid passport and reference from scientific supervisor;
- After evaluation within short selection process a detailed research plan will be prepared.
TU and EJUST Announcement
In the frames of the Erasmus+ Credit Mobility Program is announced a contest for PhD students to the University of Chemistry and Technology, Prague (UCT Prague), Czech Republic. The Program opens a competition-based opportunity for a PhD student at EJUST to implement research at UCT Prague through the academic year of 2022-2023.
Those who intend to take part in the initial stage of the competition are required to submit a set of documents including:
- CV;
- Copy of valid passport;
- Certificate of English proficiency;
- Research plan based on the application of hollow nanoporous carbon materials for energy storage;
- A letter of reference from his/her scientific supervisor;
- A detailed research plan.
The required documents should be submitted as one PDF file with e-mail subject “Erasmus+ UCT, Czech Republic” to: mohamad.ayad@ejust.edu.eg
There will be an interview for selection of suitable candidate (date will be announced).
The submission deadline is 5th May, 2022.

After acceptance
Traveling from Egypt to Czech Republic
There is a registration and visa process that you need to start as soon as possible. After you will have a supervisor, it is time to submit application documents (scans sent to our email are sufficient):
- Learning Agreement for Traineeships
- Student Application Form
- Confirmation of you PhD studies from your university
- Confirmation of English knowledge (in your case not necessary but If you have it, please send it to us)
- Medical Assessment form
- Scan of your Passport

VISA PROCESS
Here is the info for the visa process with UCT Prague.
Which documents UCT can issue for you? Document on the purpose of stay (= letter of acceptance) and Proof of accommodation (ONLY IN CASE you are staying at UCT dormitories)
What should you provide? In case you need visa confirmations from us, please send us: copy/scan of your passport, information at which embassy you will apply for visa (name of the city), information if you will be staying at UCT Prague dormitories, information of your address where you want to send the documents. Please also confirm for us If you agree with sending the visa document via DHL Express, so you can get the documents as soon as possible. It will be paid by the Erasmus grant from the project.

!!The visa procedure can take up to 60 days since your first visit of the embassy. It is therefore strongly recommended to start the visa procedure as soon as possible!!
I would also like to inform you that in order to host you for your traineeship at UCT Prague, we will need to see that you have a valid Health insurance and Liability insurance. You will be requested a copy of your insurance upon your arrival or preferably before, by email. I recommend you to discuss this issue with your home university, it might be the case that your university provides this insurance.
