University of Chemistry and Technology, Prague (UCT Prague)
The University of Chemistry and Technology, Prague is a natural centre of first-rate study and research in the area of chemistry in Czechia and is one of the country’s largest educational and research institutions focused on technical chemistry, chemical and biochemical technologies, material and chemical engineering, food chemistry, and environmental studies. According to the prestigious Times Higher Education rankings, UCT Prague, one of five Czech universities, ranks among the 4% of the best world universities (2017). The school has also dominated the rankings of the Education Policy Centre of Charles University in the category “Emphasis on Science, Research and Creativity” category (2016).
Tanta University (TU)
TU ranks among the top 61-70 universities in Arabic World, according to the prestigious QS World University Rankings 2019. Egyptian universities are the largest institutions of their kind in the Middle East and Africa (e.g. according to data to November 2019, TU has a total of 118 800 students, including more than 1 000 international students, as well as over 5 400 employees) and are also known for their liberal approach to equal access of men and women to education (49.7% students at TU are women). Egyptian universities also excel in a broad range of educational and research activities (TU consists of 15 faculties) and a high level of expertise among their staff (TU averages over 75 citations per scientific publication) and a high score in internationalization (TU achieves 78.4 points out of 100 possible, according to QS World University Rankings).
Egypt-Japan University of Science and Technology (EJUST)
EJUST was first established as a bilateral agreement project between the Egyptian and Japanese governments in May 2009 and later in 2010 it was ready to accept its first batch of graduate students. The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) fully supports E-JUST by sending their administrative and academic experts for assisting and guiding in the technical and management system of the university, as well as sending academic experts from the Japanese Supporting University Consortium (JSUC) to support in teaching, conduct join research and co-supervising the graduate students. In addition, providing equipment and tools for research purposes. As for the Egyptian government, it fully runs the university financially and is administered by Egyptian members for both the academic and administrative staff. In the year 2018, E-JUST accept the first batch of undergraduate in the faculty of Engineering and Applied Science and in Faculty of International Business and Humanities.
